UNCONFIRMED RUMOR: A GameStop Sign Says GTA 6 Boxes Come With a Collector's Map

This is an unconfirmed rumor.

Several outlets report that a sign on display at GameStop says physical GTA 6 pre-orders, boxed ones, come with a collectible version of the game's world map. Rockstar, Take-Two and GameStop haven't commented, per reports dated Oct 12, 2026. GTA BOOM, Notebookcheck, ComicBook and Glitched reported the sign, and none of them called it confirmed. Our own pages say the box holds a code, not a disc. Until Rockstar or GameStop says something, treat this as a store sign, not a product fact.

What's being reported

• A sign in a GameStop store lists a physical map as part of boxed pre-orders. Reported (GTA BOOM, Notebookcheck, ComicBook, Glitched, Oct 12, 2026)
• Glitched and TalkEsport repeat the claim without separate evidence. Unconfirmed
• No statement from Rockstar, Take-Two or GameStop has been reported. That's "no comment reported," not "denied."
• No photo of the sign has been published by the reporting outlets we've read.

What is confirmed

• Physical copies go on sale Nov 12, 2026, a week before launch. Confirmed (Take-Two)
• The box holds a download code, not a game disc. That's Rockstar's stated format for both PS5 and Xbox. Confirmed (Rockstar Support)
• Purchases before Nov 20 get the Vintage Vice City Pack. A map isn't part of it. Confirmed (Take-Two)

Why to stay skeptical

Store signage is made by stores, not publishers. A sign could be wrong, could refer to a store-run promotion, or could describe something Rockstar hasn't announced. None of the reporting names the store, and none prints a photo. If a map were an official bonus, Rockstar and Take-Two have had months to list it next to the Vintage Vice City Pack, and they haven't.
