OCTOBER 8, 2026 — SITE AUDIT
A full audit of our GTA VI guides against Rockstar's official sources turned up twelve factual errors. All were fixed the same day.
-
C1GTA 6 Pre-Load Guide
We said physical copies can't pre-load. Wrong — Rockstar says the physical code-in-box edition is available from November 12 to support pre-loading, and codes redeemed before launch begin pre-loading on November 12.
-
C2GTA 6 Pre-Load Guide
We said the pre-load unlock time on November 12 was unconfirmed. Rockstar confirms it starts at local midnight.
-
C3Launch Hub
Our "Facts as of Sep 2026" box said Rockstar hadn't announced a price or pre-load date. Both were announced June 24, 2026: $79.99 / $99.99, pre-load November 12.
-
C4GTA 6 Trailers · FAQ
We said only two official trailers existed and that Trailer 2 introduced Lucia. Lucia debuted in Trailer 1 (December 2023), and Rockstar released the 27-minute "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" on August 27, 2026 — not officially labeled Trailer 3. Also fixed on the FAQ's main-characters answer.
-
C5GTA 6 Price Guide · Special Editions
We said Rockstar hadn't published the Ultimate Edition's contents. They were listed when pre-orders opened in June 2026 — the full contents (vehicles, weapons, shops, activities) are now on both pages.
-
C6GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide · Price Guide
We framed November 19/20 as a bonus-claim deadline. It's a purchase deadline — buy before November 19 at 23:59:59 (PlayStation) or before November 20 (Rockstar, Xbox) to get the Vintage Vice City Pack. Also fixed in the German and Japanese pre-order guides.
-
C7GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide · Pre-Load Guide
We said every pre-order gets a free GTA+ month. It's digital pre-orders only, redeemed separately — by March 31, 2027 on PlayStation, or within 180 days of pre-ordering on Xbox.
-
C8Lucia Caminos — Character Database
We said Lucia was first confirmed in Trailer 2. She debuted in Trailer 1 (December 2023).
-
C9Countdown (site-wide)
The November 12 pre-load milestone was labeled press-reported and provisional. Rockstar Support officially confirms pre-load from local midnight November 12 — it's now labeled OFFICIAL. The /countdown page and its translations now name the PlayStation Store's 12:00 AM ET unlock time, and the header countdown chip uses the same day count as the page countdown.
-
C10GTA 6 Price Guide
We said GTA 6 pre-orders "sold out" at major retailers. Narrowed and labeled: reports show Amazon US's first batch of physical stock sold out within an hour on June 25 and was restocked the same day.
-
C11GTA 6 Trailers
We said Trailer 2 introduced Jason. He first appeared in Trailer 1; Trailer 2 put him front and center.
-
C12GTA 6 Release Date
Added Rockstar's August 27, 2026 "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" to our forward-looking coverage, noting it isn't officially Trailer 3.
HOW WE HANDLE CORRECTIONS
Confirmed facts are labeled confirmed, rumors are labeled rumors, and every item carries a timestamp and source link. When a detail changes or we get one wrong, the fix goes on the page itself (look for the correction note) and gets logged here. Spot something stale? Tell us via the contact page.
