A new batch of GTA VI screenshots, credited to Rockstar Games, came out on Oct 29 alongside Edge magazine's issue 430 cover feature, which GamesRadar+ has published free online.

Where they came from

Edge's story, "The state that never sleeps" by Simon Parkin, is based on a 90-minute, unscripted session in which Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson played the current build. In the GamesRadar+ version, the game images carry a "Rockstar Games" credit. Insider Gaming says Rockstar released them via Edge; we found no Rockstar Newswire post.

How many? Reports don't agree: Insider Gaming's headline says 12 but its body says 14, Rockstar Report says 12, and VICE says "over ten." We aren't giving a count.

What the screenshots show

Per Rockstar Report and Insider Gaming; see the linked articles for the images.

  • Jason and Lucia in action: Jason works on a car while Lucia runs out of a 24/7 supermarket with a handgun. In another shot, Lucia leans out of a car window with a rifle while Jason drives. A third shows the two of them on a motorcycle at night (Rockstar Report).
  • Police: a close-up of VCPD officer Méndez with two officers behind him (Rockstar Report).
  • Vice City: a daylight waterfront view with boats, a Ferris wheel and towers (Rockstar Report).
  • Beyond the city: a gang gathering, bikers riding in formation, an airboat in wetlands, a hammerhead shark underwater, and Lucia at a crowded night event (Rockstar Report).
  • Regions: Insider Gaming says the set includes new looks at Grassrivers and Ambrosia and that most images feature Jason and Lucia in different styles. Rockstar hasn't labeled the shots by region.

What Edge reported

  • Map size: roughly twice the size of GTAV's. Rockstar says Leonida's total landmass is nearly as large as the playable maps of GTAIV, GTAV and RDR2 combined.
  • Interiors: "an order of magnitude more interiors," according to head of development Aaron Garbut.
  • Police "heat": the police track your description, clothing, partner, weapon and CCTV footage. Changing clothes or splitting up from your partner can help you shake them.
  • Criminal Profile: a scale from "Professional" to "Irredeemable", shown with angel and devil icons.
  • Jason and Lucia's relationship: tracked on a four-point closeness scale.
  • Getting around: buses, trains, and fuel and engine health on every vehicle.
  • The quote: "I feel like we've built a pyramid on Everest," Garbut told Edge (also reported by PC Gamer).

GTA VI launches Nov 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
