GOD'S EYE VIEW: THE OPEN-SOURCE SPY-SATELLITE GLOBE

A spy-satellite simulator in your browser — except the data is real. Track live aircraft, ships, and the ISS on a photorealistic 3D globe. Free, open source, 48,000+ GitHub stars, and #1 on GitHub Trending.

The short answer: God's Eye View is a free, open-source web app that looks like a spy-satellite console — live 3D globe, tracked aircraft, sensor filters, the works — except every feed is real public data. It has 48,000+ GitHub stars and hit #1 on GitHub Trending in August 2026. One honest note up front: this is not a CyberGrokr product. It's an independent open-source project by developer bilawalsidhu. We feature it because it's free, open, and genuinely cool.

WHAT IT DOES

One explorable globe, every public signal in the same place. What's live on it:

  • Live aircraft — click any plane, lock the camera on, and ride in cockpit view as it descends.
  • Ships, satellites, earthquakes, traffic — tracked live, including the ISS riding its orbital ring.
  • Public cameras projected into 3D cities — not webcam embeds; the feeds render inside the 3D scene.
  • Weather — forecast wind, observed radar, satellite clouds, lightning, and cyclone tracks on one timeline.
  • Sensor modes — re-skin the whole planet as CRT, night-vision, FLIR thermal, or noir.
  • Voice control — talk to it hands-free ("track the ISS", "when does it rise over me?").
  • Shareable camera links — your exact view, layers, and tracked target serialize into a URL.

HOW TO INSTALL

Two paths, same app. Both start with no API keys and no account.

Path 1 — One click, no terminal (Pinokio)

  1. Install or update Pinokio to 8.2 or later (free, Windows/Mac/Linux).
  2. Open God's Eye View in Pinokio.
  3. Click Install, then Start.

Path 2 — Terminal

Needs Node.js 24.x or 26.x:

git clone https://github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view.git
cd gods-eye-view
npm ci
npm run doctor
npm run dev

Then open http://localhost:4173. For photorealistic 3D terrain, add the optional free Cesium ion token (eligible personal, non-commercial use) inside the app's POWER UP panel.

WHY WE'RE FEATURING IT

Because the deal is unusually good: the code is fully inspectable and extensible, the core feeds work with zero keys, and the whole thing runs locally in your browser. Half the magic is that it looks like a forbidden cockpit; the other half is that nothing about it is forbidden. If you build something on it, the repo welcomes contributions.

THIS RUNS BEST ON A REAL GPU

A photorealistic 3D globe with live tracking and thermal sensor modes is exactly the workload a discrete graphics card eats for breakfast. Give it the hardware it deserves.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is God's Eye View?

A free, open-source web app that works like a spy-satellite simulator in your browser — except the data is real. Photorealistic 3D globe with live aircraft, ships, satellites, earthquakes, traffic, public cameras, and weather. 48,000+ GitHub stars; #1 on GitHub Trending in August 2026.

Is God's Eye View free?

Yes — free and open source, and it starts with no API keys required. Photorealistic 3D terrain is unlocked with an optional free Cesium ion token (eligible personal, non-commercial use).

How do I install God's Eye View?

Two paths. One-click: install Pinokio 8.2+, open God's Eye View in Pinokio, click Install then Start (Windows/Mac/Linux). Terminal: git clone the repo, npm ci, npm run doctor, npm run dev, then open http://localhost:4173. Needs Node.js 24.x or 26.x.

Is God's Eye View made by CyberGrokr?

No. It's an independent open-source project by developer bilawalsidhu. We feature it because it's free, open, and genuinely impressive — not because we built or control it.

What computer do I need to run it?

It runs in a modern browser, but the photorealistic 3D globe, live tracking, and sensor modes run best on a real GPU. A gaming PC with a discrete graphics card is the sweet spot — see our PC builder.
